With great humour, Gort recounts the adventures of the dreamer Abel and his down-to-earth wife Angela, who sell their little shop in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district to set up a vineyard in the south of France. They are beset by bizarre setbacks, and Abel decides to grow cannabis to give his wine a touch of mind-expanding properties. In doing so, they cross paths with a bunch of people who aren’t too fussy about the law, leading to hilarious events and a spectacular climax.
