The Heaven - Part 4 of the Abel & Angela trilogy
After a series of wild adventures at their wine estate and B&B, the ever-optimistic Abel and his down-to-earth wife Angela set up an esoteric centre in a castle in the south of France, which they call ‘Heaven on Earth’. They are assisted by biker gang leader Sjeng, his wife Kimberley (who possesses psychic abilities) and Plato, a philosophical donkey who can speak. Unfortunately, their perfect world is rudely disrupted by the arrival of a gang of serious criminals.
This perspective provides an inspiring canvas for Gort, who pulls out all the stops in his humorous writing here. Abel sets off on a completely new course, thereby setting in motion a series of events that defy description – except for those penned by Ilja Gort.
This sparkling novel is like a train hurtling along. It reads like a thrilling film, but peppered with bursts of roaring laughter. A book to love.
